PEAK is proud to offer Boys STRONG Training. STRONG stands for Strength, Technique, Running, Obstacles ‘N Gymnastics. The students will work all aspects of the STRONG philosophy while having fun, improving their athletic abilities, and building their physical and mental strength. Boys STRONG currently has four levels. A Preschool Boys STRONG Class, Level 1, and Level 2, and Level 3. Levels 1,2, and 3 have set skill for each  that must be completed to coaching standard in three separate class periods before moving to the next level. When all skills are completed, the student will receive a recognition award for their great achievement! Your coach will let you know when the appropriate time comes to switch levels. Switching to the next level too quickly can cause a child to be unprepared and frustrated. One of the things that makes STRONG fun is that it is challenging!  So, if your child is not progressing as quickly as they would like, remind them not to get discouraged! It sometimes take years to pass to the next level.  Remind them to set small goals for each class, and before they know it they will accomplish them and move up! Our goal at PEAK is for every child to have high self-esteem! If you have questions about the levels and/or which class to enroll your child just give us a call!

Each week we will have a Word of the Week. This is a way for us to focus on the learning aspect of STRONG, besides just the athletic portion. These will be a variety of categories including athletic skills or life skill words. We will post them on the white entry board each week, so feel free to ask your child about the on the way home to reiterate the lesson.

An exciting tool we use in our classes is our Excellence Bell. Anytime a student achieves a new skill they have never done before, they get to go ring the bell and all the other students and coaches will clap and cheer for them! Another way to ring the bell is if a coach observes a student who is working hard, being kind, cooperating, etc. This is a fun way for us to encourage positive behavior and success in the gym!
